Austropex is an initiative of Advance Cairns, which along with support from the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, and the Austropex Industry Advisory Group provides project management expertise, workshops, communications, marketing and administration support for the members and its website.

As the peak coordination agency for economic development in Tropical North Queensland, it is the vision of Advance Cairns and Austropex to develop a vibrant and sustainable regional economy that promotes and facilitates diverse employment, growth, social and lifestyle opportunities.
